2013 saw the launch of a brang new international exchange programme between two world ranking universities, offerin the unique opportunity.

 

For the first time ever, the internationally renowned, world class University of York, Department of Social Policy and Social Political Science, in partnership with the University of Wisconsin have collaborated to ensue an investigative research projective focusing on social innovation. These globally renowned universities express passionate aims in enhancing sustainable developments and have developed their first comparative qualitative research programme through the International Internship Programme, to uncover financial innovation within social enterprise supply chains to investigate effective and disparaging influences. Three highly profiles students have been selected to individual pursue these themes of social innovation, financial, environmental and social sustainability of Madison, Dane County, that holds an incredibly unique and prestigue position by containing the second largest non-profit sector per capita in the world. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The UKs current political-economic conditions have increased non-profit dependency due to Welfare State retrenchment and post-recession economies. Greater demand for private sector involvement to provide alternative social-ends for civic needs is becoming significant.
